The program brings together a multidisciplinary team of professionals, that coordinate their activities and investigations of child abuse and neglect. The Centers are public/private partnerships between the Judiciary and the community, are founded by local Rotary Clubs, and supported by their Friends of the Children’s Justice Center (http://mauicjc.org/), a nonprofit organization that provides resources for the Centers, the professionals who work with victims, and the children and families served by the programs. Children from Molokai and Lanai may be flown in for interviews and medical examinations.
