Program Also Called:
Palama Settlement alternative school
This program is for adjudicated, court-ordered youth, and high school students who are at-risk for drop-out. While in the program they remain enrolled in their “home” schools. Staff work with the students' schools and teams of supports to help them earn credits toward graduation and to improve on behaviors that have been barriers to school success. The overall goal is high school graduation or GED attainment. In addition to education, the goal is to help students make wiser and healthier lifestyle choices through alternative learning methods including community service, group sessions and motivational guest speakers.
